I.T. Network Infrastructure (1 of 7)

What exactly is I.T. Network Infrastructure?  Well, we call it infrastructure because it is a foundation, or framework upon which we are able to build and operate I.T. solutions.  It’s kind of similar to a human skeleton, or the steel framing of a high-rise building.  With a poor infrastructure, it is nearly impossible to build anything substantial.  So, I.T. network infrastructure is the “steel framing”, if you will, of a computer network.  The components that comprise the network infrastructure are critical to your success in minimizing future problems of your information technology investments.  As part of this seven-part series, we will briefly delve into the primary components comprising I.T. Network Infrastructure.  Look forward to our future posts discussing the following subjects in more detail:

  • Electrical Power & Backup Power Supplies
  • Network Cabling
  • Network Switches
  • Wireless Access Points
  • Routers & Firewalls
  • Cabinets, Racks & Wall-Mount Brackets

Our goal in these coming posts will be to provide a SIMPLE and BRIEF education that can be used to plan your own I.T. network infrastructure.

Here at TechWorks, we recognize that a solid I.T. network infrastructure helps tremendously in our efforts to Simplify I.T for our customers.  That’s why, at TechWorks, our I.T. consultants put so much priority on improving network infrastructure.  If you’re currently a TechWorks customer, you’ve probably already seen this positive transformation within your own company.  We’ve posted some of our recent BEFORE & AFTER infrastructure transformation pictures for your viewing pleasure.   Please feel free to contact us to find out more about how a flat-fee TechWorks service plan can Simplify I.T. for your organization.
